The 99s Pilot Careers Resource Center

The Pro 99s Email Network is an internet-based discussion forum for women who are progressing towards or advancing in their careers as professional pilots. We discuss all topics pertinent to pilot careers, including the benefits and disadvantages of different pilot career opportunities, flight training and building flight time, finding scholarships and jobs, coping with disappointments, and balancing work and family. This is a virtual meeting place for professional women pilots from all around the world to network and mentor each other.

NOTE: The Pro 99s Email Network is sponsored by The Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots, and at this time participation is open to 99s members and to those who are eligible for membership. What is it and how do I use it? Overview An email network is a discussion group where an email message (or "post") from one member of the group is automatically sent to everyone in the group (or to all "subscribers" of the "list"). The post goes directly from or to the email address that you specify. An email network is different from a group in your email address book because you don't need to keep the names or addresses up-to-date. The email network is managed and moderated by an administrator who does all that for you. Why an email network? For learning -- pose questions to those who might have "been there" or share your own experiences. For problem-solving -- discussing your concerns with other women pilots might help you, and everyone else, too. For networking --this is an ideal forum for communicating and connecting with career women pilots.   Pro 99s Email Network Guidelines The purpose of the Pro 99s Email Network is to provide a forum for the professional exchange of ideas and information about pilot careers. Please read this carefully:· Please don't post irrelevant materials (virus warnings, hoaxes, sick kid needs postcards, etc.). Keep this a forum for meaningful discussions pertinent to pilot careers. The messages or posts sent via this email network do not necessarily reflect the views of The Ninety-Nines Board of Directors but rather are the views of the individual network members. Don't respond or reply to the entire list if you have a message that is best directed only to one individual. Remember, when you post a message to the list, it is received by the entire subscribed membership. If we are to have a worthwhile email network that meets our needs, we all need to be sensitive to the volume of email many of us receive. Let's make the messages worthwhile!
