The Manitoba Chapter of The Ninety-Nines is pleased to announce the availability of the 2013 Rosella Bjornson Scholarship. The flight training scholarship is in the amount of $1500 and is to be used for advance flight training. Solo time or time building hours do not qualify. Scholarship payments will be made to the flight school or flying club directly and is to be used within a 12 month period.

MINNESOTA 99s CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Minnesota Chapter of the Ninety-Nines is offering two $1,000 scholarships to qualifying applicants. These scholarships will be awarded in March. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for course work toward a Private Pilot license and the second $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for an additional rating or endorsement. This Scholarship is open to all women pilots, including members of The Ninety-Nines.

a) Female and at least 25 years of age.

b) Pursuing an aviation goal that includes flight training.

c) Minnesota resident or student of a Minnesota school.

2) If applicant is a student pilot, she must already have her solo endorsement.

MONTEREY BAY CHAPTER 99s -- $2000

The Monterey Bay Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots is offering one $2000 scholarship to a local woman. It is either to be used by the recipient to obtain her private pilot license or to obtain an advanced rating to further her pursuit of a career in aviation.

Criteria:The Student applicant must be in good health and not dependent on medication or have any other disqualifying condition.

The Advanced applicant must have a current medical certificate, appropriate to the rating she seeks.

The applicant must live in Santa Cruz or Monterey County.

If the applicant is already a licensed pilot, she must have completed any necessary written exams, have a current flight review or equivalent, and have all ratings prerequisite to the rating she seeks before money is awarded but not necessarily before application. Otherwise, she must have completed the private written exam before money is awarded, but not necessarily before application.

The Richard J. Santori Memorial Scholarship offers two annual scholarships to members of the North Central Section ("NCS") under the auspices of the Chicago Area Chapter of The Ninety-Nines ("CAC").

One scholarship in the amount of $2000 is to be used to assist a 99 in the completion of an additional pilot certificate or rating.

Criteria: Applicants must be a current pilot with the appropriate medical certificate and must be approaching the flight time requirement for the desired rating or certificate.

The other scholarship offers $1000 to assist an Associate 99 member toward completion of an initial pilot certificate, in any aircraft.

Eligible applicants must be female student pilots and female pilots who reside within 100 nautical mile radius of the Reno Tahoe International Airport and includes area north of Hwy 50 to the Utah, Idaho and Oregon borders. Scholarship is applicable to any category of aircraft, i.e. airplane, glider, rotorcraft, lighter-than-air and powered lift. Student pilots must have soloed by the application deadline. The chapter offers up to four scholarships per year up to $3000 each to female student pilots -- one (or more) award in the winter and one (or more) in summer.

Girls with Wings will be accepting applications for the 4th Annual GWW Scholarship along with an essay with photo stating why the applicant believes she is a role model for Girl With Wings, to include her motivation, inspirations and future plans. There is no minimum or maximum length required in the essays; quality and completeness are key. There is no need to submit financial information, but if a factor, can be discussed in the essay. The only prerequisite is that applicants must not have yet received her private pilot's license, but must have already soloed. Applicants agree to possibly have portions of or their entire essays and pictures posted on the GWW website.

The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation encourages and supports young men and women who wish to pursue aviation careers, as professional pilots. The Foundation will award flight instruction scholarships for potential students, in order to obtain private pilot certification.
