HOW YOU CAN HELP THE NINETY-NINES
Give us your time, your energy or even a bit of your income!

Become an Endowment Fund Ambassador

Help your chapter members understand the need for a fully funded Ninety-Nines Endowment Fund. Help your chapter hold a fund raising event, anything from Pennies-a-Pound airplane rides to bake sales, to raise money for The Ninety-Nines Endowment Fund. Tell other Ninety-Nines how important it is to support The Ninety-Nines Endowment Fund.

Stop by our booth in the Fly-Market at Conventions

We will have time to chat, to show you our latest fund raising projects and to help you understand the necessity of fully funding The Ninety-Nines Endowment Fund. During the International Conference the Trustees have special projects to raise awareness and funds. Visit the Endowment Fund display at the Flymarket each year to see our current project and what your support can do.

Purchase a Contribution Card

When Carolyn Van NewKirk thought we could use a new card she had an artist friend, Frank Batson a well known watercolor artist, draw his idea. Carolyn and Frank collaborated to insure the accuracy of the charter members and the airplane in the background. This beautiful watercolor of an airplane with the charter members of the 99s depicted has been used to create a useful greeting card design that will be a joy to send and a joy to receive. The price of these unique and beautiful cards is $10 for one, $50 for six and $100 for twelve.

THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE OF A CARD IS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE ENDOWMENT FUND!

Cards may be ordered from Gayl Henze, 4130 Timber Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19129-5526.

Think about Serving on The Ninety-Nines Endowment Fund as a Trustee

Would you be interested in tackling one of the most challenging jobs in The Ninety-Nines? Willing individuals with fresh ideas are needed to carry on the objectives of the Endowment Fund. Several of the Trustees will have served the maximum three terms allowed by the Bylaws in 2005 and 2006. New hands must take the controls to pilot the Fund into the future. Arrange to learn about the crew responsibilities for the Endowment Fund by contacting any current member of the Board of Trustees.

Sign up for an Automatic Credit Card Donations

Many members donate $9.99 a month or $10.00 or $25.00 or more on their credit card each month, or $99 or more each year. This small amount is less than many of the little things we spend money on without thinking. Join us in this painless habit and watch the Fund grow.

Employer Contributions

Contributions by an individual generates an income-tax receipt. Some employers also like to receive tax benefits and have a program of matching employees charitable contributions. With these programs, employers will donate an equivalent amount to the same charity. Does your workplace have a similar program? Have you taken advantage of it to benefit The Ninety-Nines?

Donor Recognition Plaques

The first flight of names landed on the Donor Recognition Plaques at Headquarters in March 2003. An accumulated contribution of $500 or more will see the names of members, chapters, sections and loyal supporters land on the plaques. As your accumulative contribution increases, your name plate will reposition from one section of the plaques to the next during the spring and fall International Board meetings.

About the Trustees:

The Trust is composed of five elected members of The Ninety-Nines who choose their own officers, collect, maintain and manage tax deductible donated funds in a permanently restricted investment account. The trustees' primary duties are to promote the growth and development of the Fund. These duties include fund raising, management, collection and maintenance of the principle through prudent investments and supplying the membership with regular financial reports on the Fund. The trustees have responsibility for day-to-day management of the investments and consult with professional financial advisors.

The Trustees of the Endowment Fund hold several meeting each year to review the business of the Fund. Maximizing the Endowment Fund investments in to the current economic climate has been a challenge for the Board. Our losses have been minimal in relation to the general economy, thanks to prudent investment. Continued support of the membership is assisting us toward our initial goal of one million dollars. The long term objective is to generate sufficient investment income and dividend return to offset the operating cost of the organization. We see our role as a vital component to keeping The Ninety-Nines vibrant and growing.
