99s Flight Training Forum Email
Network
The 99s Flight Training Forum
is an email discussion forum for all 99s members about all flight
training issues. The 99s FTF is of particular interest to Future Women Pilots (FWPs), active pilots, pilots getting back into
flying, pilots working on advanced ratings or fun ratings, flight
instructors, flight school owners, and designated examiners.
Topics of discussion in the FTF
will include finishing the private pilot certificate, moving
into larger aircraft, training for advanced ratings, checkrides,
fun training like aerobatics and seaplanes, staying current,
changes to regulations, flight safety concerns, and finding the
right flight school or instructor.
|
Who is this
for?
Interested 99s may
include: Future Women Pilots (FWPs), aviation college students,
members pursuing new ratings, active pilots, professional pilots,
flight instructors, flight school owners, designated examiners,
and "all" members interested in flight training and
currency issues!
What will
be discussed?
- Choosing the right
flight instructor and /or flight school
- Finishing your private
pilot certificate
- Working towards advanced
ratings, like your instrument rating or commercial certificate
- Fun training, like
flying aerobatics, seaplanes, or balloons
- Aviation regulations
- Flight safety concerns
- Staying current and
currency training
- Issues with your flight
instructor, or issues with your flight student
How does it work?
The 99s FTF is an email discussion
list, just like the existing 99s
Email Network and Pro
99s Network. So you must have the capability to send and
receive email, including an email address. As a forum participant,
you will receive one email message daily with all that day's
"posts" in it. You may simply read the commentary ("lurk"),
or you may make your own a "post" - ask a question,
make a comment, or reply to another post - by sending an email
message to the FTF email address. Your post will be forwarded
automatically to all FTF participants. It's that easy! Also,
an archive of all posts will be accessible by all FTF participants.
Who will be on the forum?
99s members of all kinds will
be participating, and the forum will be moderated by experienced
pilots, flight instructors, flight school owners, and pilot examiners
in the U.S. and Canada who have "been there" and are
willing to help you with your flight training concerns.
FTF Email
Network Guidelines
The purpose of The 99s FTF is
to provide a forum where any 99s member can easily discuss questions
and concerns about all aspects of flight training and flying
currency with other members, so that we may share what we know
and learn from each other. Please read this carefully:·
- Please don't post irrelevant
materials (virus warnings, hoaxes, sick kid needs postcards,
etc.). Keep this a forum for meaningful discussions.
- The messages or posts sent via
this email network do not necessarily reflect the views of The
Ninety-Nines Board of Directors but rather are the views of the
individual network members.
- Don't respond or reply to the
entire list if you have a message that is best directed only
to one individual. Remember, when you post a message to the list,
it is received by the entire subscribed membership. If we are
to have a worthwhile email network that meets our needs, we all
need to be sensitive to the volume of email many of us receive.
Let's make the messages worthwhile!
- Please become familiar with
your email program so that messages sent to the list are in plain
text.
